Yvonne Taylor Hill

Yvonne Taylor Hill was aged four when she started Ballet classes at her local dancing school in Amersham continuing on later to Ballroom and Latin American. "Saturday was Dancing Day" On leaving school in 1971, the Taylor School of Dancing was founded at St. Leonard’s Parish Centre. Chesham Bois. Amersham. This is our main teaching venue where we hold classes in Classical Ballet, Ballroom, Latin American, Disco/Freestyle, Rock and Roll, and Alternative Rhythms for every level of dancer from 3 years of age upwards. Beginners through to and including advanced. Medallist and Teachers. Classes are also held in Prestwood Village Hall. We have always tried to promote a "Family Atmosphere" we love to see and involve parents as much as possible and with a great Team of helpers, we hold regular events throughout the year. Through fund raising we support numerous charities.

Yvonne feels she wears "three hats" As well as running a very successful school, she is also a Senior Examiner for the ISTD (Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing) which has given her the opportunity of Examining, Lecturing and Adjudicating throughout the UK and many countries worldwide.

Being a member and trustee on the ISTD Council gives her the voice and the opportunity to assist a secure future both technically and artistically for our dancers, teachers and choreographers

Future Aspirations

I am still fully committed to teaching and coaching Amateurs and Professionals in my school, and I hope to continue to promote my passion and love of dance to as many people as possible of all age levels. I will continue my work to encourage a bright and secure future for our young dancers, performers and teachers worldwide through a high standard of teaching and Examination route.
